Fathom response to COVID–19

Fathom response to COVID–19

** First written on 18.03.2020 and updated on 13.04.2020 to reflect some changing circumstances. **

Unsurprisingly, COVID–19 has occupied the minds of the team at Fathom in the past weeks. I am very aware of our duty of care to our team, our clients and the business itself and so have been planning extensively for the various scenarios which may present themselves. Please allow me to update you.

Business continuity – we are working remotely until further notice. Our team are used to flexible working and working–from–home arrangements and our software and systems are more than capable of supporting us during this period.

Team wellbeing – while none of our team has contracted COVID–19 to date, many of them have family members and close friends in the at–risk category. Our top priority is the physical and mental health of our team and we will closely follow government guidelines day to day and week to week. I am personally overseeing the initiatives we’re putting in place to look after the team’s mental health and wellbeing in the coming days.

Travel and gatherings – we have cancelled all travel, meetings and upcoming training (this includes training which we will be attending as delegates, and training which we will deliver such as UXTraining).

Delivering projects – to our clients, thank you for your understanding as we now move to service you in these new ways. As well as client project work, we have planned a range of R+D initiatives and other innovations which will be of value to us post–lockdown.

And finally – is there a way that we can help you? Get in touch any time if you have questions or there are ways in which we can support you.  If we are able to help in any way, we want to – so please ask.

COVID–19 will cause major disruption to Fathom. But there are businesses and individuals for whom the consequences are much more grave and challenging. We send our most sincere best wishes to anyone who is in that category; we will be keeping an eye out to consider how we might be best able to help them.

Stay safe
