Shortlist for Christian Aid and Madlug at CIM Awards 2018

On 9 November, the Fathom team dusted off their finest black–tie tuxedos and dresses and made their way to the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ireland Awards 2018, held in the impressive Titanic Belfast. We were in great company as we were joined by our friends from Christian Aid and Madlug.

Both organisations have achieved a great deal over the past months.

Madlug are a bag and luggage social enterprise company and were finalists in the Most Marketing Impact on a Small Budget category. Their goal is to fund the purchase of bags to give to children in care and they worked with Fathom on their new website. This led to an increased conversion rate of 3% and over 3000 bags have been donated to children in care, with funds available to donate a further 7000 bags.

Christian Aid Ireland works as part of the Christian Aid family with a vision to end poverty. They provide urgent, practical and effective assistance where need is great, tackling the effects of poverty as well as its root causes. They collaborated with Fathom on a new website to provide their supporters and volunteers with a useful website which fully integrated with social media and made the sharing of information as easy as possible. The results were impressive, with user numbers up by 55% and user sessions up by 39%.  As a result, they were finalists in the Cause Related Marketing category.

Congratulations to Public Health NI who won the Cause Related Marketing category and InspecVision who picked up the award in the Small Budget category.  We’re looking forward to next year’s opportunity.
