Digital and content marketing

Remote working with a Belfast hub


We are on the lookout for a freelancer or boutique agency with talent and experience in content marketing and supporting experience in digital marketing, estimating 8 to 10 days of work per month.

Fathom’s content and online presence needs to be of the highest standard to help us maintain and enhance our market position and to provide value for our prospects, clients and partners. Our marketing efforts, centred around thought leadership, span content production, video marketing, social media dissemination and search engine activities, all informed by data and analytics.

Key responsibilities

Content marketing

  • Deliver the majority of the content marketing function within Fathom, across all aspects of marketing and any external touchpoints: including events, award-entries, and blog content
  • Research, organise and promote Fathom hosted or attended meet-ups
  • Work on creative and content roll-out of the Fathom brand across all touchpoints, liaising with potential suppliers for creative / print / videography / logistics etc.
  • Manage the evolution of the fathom brand through creative design, content and digital assets
  • Run social media research, listening schedule and content creation efforts across Fathom’s active channels
  • Curate content, send and report appropriately on e-CRM activities, for Fathom via e-newsletters
  • Schedule and manage changes to design and content on the Fathom website
  • Write for the Fathom blog, contributing to scheduling of team content responsibilities, proof-reading and publishing

Video marketing

  • Deliver video content tasks, formats, distribution and liaising with any external suppliers

Search (paid and organic) marketing

  • Run organic and paid search campaigns for the business, individually or as part of a managed service with a third-party, as part of the marketing plan, in line with KPIs and goals

Data analytics and reporting

  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to recommend content and marketing initiatives
  • Help to meet KPI’s and goals with CEO and UX Strategist
  • Report monthly on progress and reports to direct line manager

Key skills and experience

Essential skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in content marketing activities either as an employee or in a self-employed capacity
  • The ability to analyse and interpret data analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and Hotjar
  • Experience of using content management systems and email marketing tools
  • Experience of delivering a marketing plan as an individual or as part of a wider team
  • Experience of managing social media strategy, via a publishing schedule and aligned to goals and KPI’s

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Practical experience in working with UX / CX / Service design organisations or projects
  • Previous marketing experience in an agency environment
  • Experience of creating and / or managing video marketing and podcast creation
  • Creative and graphic design experience and skills
