Matthew McLaughlin

Placement UX Designer

Matthew McLaughlin

Matthew is currently studying Interaction Design at Ulster University Belfast. He is passionate about creating user–centred digital experiences across a range of devices, user and business contexts. With an interest in designing for accessibility, he strives to design digital services that are as inclusive as possible. Matthew is a strong advocate of an iterative design approach, using a paper–first principle to best use design to solve user problems.

Outside of University, he has worked on a range of freelance projects consisting of user research, graphic design, branding, content and web development. This has allowed him to develop his skills in client communications, presentation of work and teamwork along the way.

In his spare time he is obsessed with football, as well as keeping up with the latest advances in technology. When not watching football or reading tech blogs, Matthew can be found enjoying coffee, preferably in the sun, when we’re lucky enough to get some.
