Fathom wins UX Award for work with Sipario

Fathom celebrated success at the inaugural UX Awards in Dublin on 20.06.2019, winning the UX Achievement in Entertainment award for our work with our client Sipario.

Fathom was shortlisted for four entries across three categories:

  • Social Impact of UX Award: Usability testing and conversion–rate optimisation for Madlug
  • Social Impact of UX Award: User–centred website design for Christian Aid Ireland
  • UX Achievement in Health and Lifestyle: Enhanced user research for BrainWaveBank
  • UX Achievement in Entertainment: User–focused product design for Sipario.

While we were unfortunate not to pick up awards for three of our clients, we were very pleased to have been shortlisted with them and delighted to have our work with Sipario recognised with the first–place prize.

Sipario is a B2B engagement platform for venues and classical music artist managers, which uses a sophisticated matching and booking system. Fathom worked alongside Sipario to take the platform from an initial user–centred MVP brief through to a working prototype with high–fidelity wireframes, testing the site rigorously before handing over to the development partner (Zesty) and providing ongoing advice on how to best implement the designs.

The winners were announced at a black–tie gala awards ceremony held at the Ballsbridge Hotel in Dublin. The dinner was attended by 170 guests from companies across Ireland that specialise in UX or that have invested in user–centred design. We would like to congratulate all the finalists who attended on the night, especially Annertech (with client Bóthar) and Fat Fish Marketing (with client Finca Skin Organics) who took home the awards in our other two categories.

Special thanks go to organisers Business River – we had a very enjoyable night and look forward to next year’s event.
